Steering wheel locking up while driving.

I have a 2007 H3, in three different occasions the steering wheel has locked up
momentarily and the car has driving straight ahead, I've manage to stop
without any incident but this could problem can cause a serious accident.  Has
anyone had this problem and what has been the solution?

Clearly you need to stop driving the Hummer until this is repaired. Once would be enough for me.
