Steering column (HELP)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While removing my dashboard my steering column separated from the inner spline. I'm not sure if this is broken or not . Does the piece fit back together is there a way for it to work. Does anyone have a recommendation as far as video or knowledge of this problem you may be able to assist me with?

the picture on top comes out of the firewall this one is up the column

Have you checked the recall on that? Might get a dealership to fix it free.
