SRS Light on 2002 Acura RL 3.5L

Asked by Susan Aug 09, 2016 at 08:18 AM about the 2002 Acura RL 3.5 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Looking at purchasing a 2002 Acura RL 3.5L for $2500. 140,000 miles, one owner, good
condition.
One issue - the SRS light is on. Owner says the light has been for 3 years and the car has
been fine.
Is this a problem?

Shows the owners concern for safety and maintenance or lack of it. SRS (supplemental restraint system) ...Air bag system.

Check YouTube how to reset the light. It's the passenger seat belt buckle. Acura seat belts have a life time warranty see the dealer or reset the code.

Dealer reset the code and serviced the recall on airbag system. Light came back in right after reset. Guess I will tell them to replace passenger seat belt and then reset.
