Why is it leaking coolant from underneath

I'm loosing a lot of coolant but the mechanic cannot locate the source of the leak. Is seems to be near the transfer case / freeze plug area

i just had that problem, mines was a freeze plug above the starter.

freeze plug, lower radiator hose, coolant bottle itself, there isn't a lot to these trucks. Could also be a headgasket if it's running behind the engine block.
