Land Rover Discovery 2 head lamps only park lights working

Asked by Zayne Apr 18, 2018 at 02:36 AM about the 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II 4 Dr SD AWD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Discovery head lamps are giving problems. The dims and brights are not
coming on. Some aftermarket spotlights had been fitted but they worked until I
went through some water recently. Now only the park lights work. Any
suggestions? Where can I start to troubleshoot? I have a multi meter.

Sounds like the connections are failing , they should t least be soldered .

Thanks for the advice but the head lamps are still not working. Yesterday I took apart the right-hand side Headlamp, cleaned the connections on every wire and took out the bulb and put it back in. After assembly, my parking lights still worked but I still don't have working head lamps. The battery reading is 14V when the engine is on. Any help would be appreciated.
