AC comes on when defrost is turned on

when I turn on the front and rear defrost the AC automatically kicks on even if it's cold outside

The AC will condense the humidity out of the air which is why it comes on.

That's right spot-on. Otherwise it will just blow moist air on inside of glass, making it worse. Give Full_of_Regrets a "Best Answer" click, that is a compliment and the only reward we get, it's not like we get paid for this

2004 jaguar x type, blows air out the defrost only, i replaced the controler and no change
