06 G35x Sedan 150K miles too much?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Ok, so I'm looking for a sporty used car for my daughter. I ran across this
06 G35x in my area. It's in excellent condition (You can tell the car was this
guy's baby), the price is reasonable, and it was very well maintained. The
only problem, is it has close to 150K miles on it. Now, I know these are high
mileage cars, but there are limits. I don't think I'm worried about the motor
as much as the trans. Any comments, suggestions? Am I looking at a trans
rebuild soon, even on a perfectly maintained 06 G35x?

I purchased 2008 Infiniti G35 sedan Journey with 105000 miles year ago for 10500 bucks and super happy with my choice, but i did lot jobs to keep it running top notch,i replace brake rotors and pads, upgrade exhaust to Tanabe stainless steel axle back exhaust, install SRI air intake Injen brand, replace all fluids, motor oil, transmission fluid, differential fluid, steering pump fluid, cabin air filter. Those cars build like the tank but i highly recommend you to just check the car in trusted mechanic shop before you buy, and of course get CARFAX on that car.

If your mechanic checks the car out and your daughter only drives a few thousand miles are year it could last quite a long time. If she drives like I do it might last a year or less.

Infiniti vehicles are solid. I'd still have your mechanic check it out and run it for a 20 minute drive before you make a purchase. Also keep in mind that Infiniti's have always had electric issues when miles are on it. Check all the electronics like windows, lights, sunroof seat adjustments etc etc. hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the answers everyone. We decided against it because the car needed new tires and brakes plus it had a pretty good size hit to one of the rear qtr panels.
