1997 Subaru battery replacement

Asked by subarulegacy123 Jan 13, 2019 at 02:58 PM about the 1997 Subaru Legacy GT Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Subaru legacy gt 2.5. 2 years ago it was overheating on my
way home. Only now do I have a chance to look at it. The battery was dead
so I bought a brand new one. After installing the new battery it still will not
start or anything. There is a clicking noise under dash when I try to start it. No,
there is no reset button under the dash and no MAIN fuse that I've been able
to find. Just trying to figure out the battery problem not the overheating
problem. Please help, desperately need to figure this out.

1 Answer

Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.
