Disconnect and reconnect battery, worked at first now nothing. Could it be keys? Or the positive cable bad, new battery.

Brand new battery, today we did the disconnect once more, saw a small spark from a cable running to the battery around the battery reset (yellow button box) And negative connection, found the screw was loose.?? We pressed the yellow button . , tightened the screw with the cable wire (red) Car has started every time since, but check engine light still on.
