190-240 depending on if you're stopped with it running or moving down the road.

Thanks for your help, I thought that I might blow a hose. It was reading around 220

No problem. Glad I could help. Because of the age of the car it would be wise to check all of the radiator, heater and bypass hoses though. GMs dexcool tends to soften rubber.

My 2002 conv., manual 6 speed runs about 220 all the time. Maybe 230 with AC on maybe 210 in cold weather. I was afraid it was too hot till I asked come Vette experts and they said 220 was about right.
