The sliding door on the drivers side will not open with fob, dash switch or manually pulling up on knob. The knob will not budge. Any ideas on how to open it?

what can you do when your gear shift is registering that it is in reverse when it actually positioned in park? I just experienced this and had to turn the car off or else it would have keep moving backward. Now i am not able to turn the car back on without it being in the park position.
