Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the door will open but when we go to shut the door the lock will grab it but has stoped pulling it all the way down so it does not shut all the way or seal. Why is it doing this and how do i fix it please?

You may need to replace the locking mechanism. It's probably broken and won't allow the trunk to close fully. Take a screw driver and try forcing it down to see if it closes all the way.

If its the power trunk option you can just put a flathead screwdriver in the top of the mechanism and push to the left. It should start to go down. It should run for about 3 or 4 seconds before it stops
