The 10 year.....150,000 mile extended warranty was for the 2AZ-FE 4 cylinder engine. The fix is new and updated pistons and new piston rings. Costs??...suggest you shop around....including at least 2 different Toyota Dealers.

Is there any way to find out if my recently purchased 2007 Camry had the pistons/rings changed / replaced with good ones ? Or not ? jwolchak@fuse.net

Ask a dealer to run your VIN. They should be able to tell you if the work was done under warranty.
