my 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LE ENGINE BLEW UP DUE TO OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEM. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE EXTENDING WARRANTY, FOR OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE THEY SAID THEY WILL MOST LIKELY DENY CLAIM AS THEY CANT TEST IT SINCE IT WILL NOT DRIVE. I HAVE ALL RECORDS OF MAINTAINING VEHICLE. HOWEVER THEY SAY THEY CANNOT TEST IT BECAUSE IT WONT START. I HAD NO WARNING SIGNS, ETC., THERE WAS A PROBLEM COULD ANYONE ADVISE ME ON WHAT TO DO. THEY WANT ME TO TOW IT THERE BUT I DONT WANT TO TOW IT JUST FOR THEM TO TELL ME AGAIN THEY CANNOT TEST IT SINCE IT DOES NOT RUN. AND ON TOP OF THAT, THE CARS WITH OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEMS HAS MY EXACT VIN NUMBER!! PLEASE HELP. ALSO I ASKED FOR THE CEO PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS AND THEY DENIED ME THAT INFORMATION!

I assume this vehicle has the 2.5 4 Cylinder engine. If so...Toyota will most likely claim you should have noticed the OIL LIGHT ON just before your engine "blew up".......and...you should have stopped the vehicle for a tow to the Dealership. These Engines are known to run out of oil BETWEEN regular scheduled oil changes. Toyota knows this and are usually inclined to warranty the engine up to 150.000 miles or 10 years......if....you had your oil changes at the Toyota Dealer. Thus...they have records of regular service. If you had your vehicle serviced else where....well....they may not trust your records. So...what to do???. I would be inclined to have the vehicle towed to the dealership for and inspection of the engine. Be NICE and co-operative...non threatening....and ask for their help in providing "guidance". Mean while...while they are checking out the car....go on line and join the class action lawsuit on this issue. Do not tell any body. If Toyota will not make a deal with you.....the lawsuit is your Plan B. Good Luck.
