Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Camry 2007 LE 2.4 2 days old.  The light indicator for passenger airbag said on when I drove off the lot.  One day later it says off.  Is this something I can do or take back to dealership?

Hi Lenny, not sure if the question has been answered for you already but I am assuming that the airbag on light was on b/c possibly the salesman or a family member was sitting on the passenger seat the day you picked it up. There is a sensor in the seat that detects if there is over a certain weight (i think 70pds) so that it can engage the airbag. The reason for that is to protect smaller children (who can be hurt by an airbag) so it doesn't engage when they are sitting there. So no, don't worry, everything is fine. It will come on and off as passengers enter your car.
