I just purchased a 2007 4.7L Double Cab Tundra with TRD package about three weeks ago. At speeds of 60 to 65 MPH I have an oscillating vibration that resonates thought the cab of my truck. While not severe it is VERY annoying when on long freeway trips. I had two tires replaces and the Toyota dealership and I still have the problem. I spoke to a person the other day that has the same truck but no TRD package (so it has different tires and rims) and he has the exact same problem. I am glad I talked to this person because the dealer is telling me there is nothing wrong. I even had a service adviser test drive the truck with me and while I felt the vibration he refused to admit that he felt it too. The vibration is not felt in the steering wheel and since I spoke with the other Tundra owner it can’t be my tires. Any ideas????

Take this to a different dealer or call Toyota's customer satisfaction department directly. It sounds as though the dealership is sandbagging you because they either don't know, or don't want to fix, what is wrong.

My thoughts exactly. I am taking it a different dealer next Friay. If I can get this problem resolved I will be happy because other that that I love the truk.

Try looking into it being a drive shaft out of balance , or bent !! Also sometimes a bad u-joint will also do this .

I bought a new tundra in Jan. I have a vibration that I can feel at about 1800 rpm's. Very enjoying. It is in the steering wheel and also felt in the gas pedal. Thought it might be tires so I have let it go. I now have 2000 miles on it and nothing has changed. Any ideas?

Take the plug out of the right rear side of the tailshat with a 15/16 wrench and check your fluid level. Oil should run out, if it doesn't it may be low. If you can't touch it with your little finger, it is low. That will cause it to vibrate. Dennis Kennedy
