When you turn on the A/C on a friend's C5, the drivers side vent blows hot air and the passenger side blows cold. Are the vents vacuum operated or gear/motor driven?? Has anyone out there experienced and repaired this problem??

I own a 1999 C5 Corvette and I am having the same problem. When I turn on the heat or air it blows warm or cold on the passenger side but not the drivers side. I haven't taken it anywhere yet to see what the issue is and once I find out I'll post it.

hi how are you, I have a 1992 Chevy Corvette. Recently they had to do a head job because of a blown head gasket. However the car still running hot between 230 and 270 degrees. I have a 1969 Chevy Corvette. I have rebuilt or replaced almost every thing. I have not replaced the original A/C compressor but converted it to the new Eco friendly freon. I had it tested three times, had the cooler boxes cleaned out, fan replaced, yet I have trouble getting the car cool. I live in So. Cal. where it is a necessity of life to have the A/C work as good as when new from the factory. I put in heat/sound shielding under the floor mats, and had all components check for proper functioning. I was thinking of going to a serpentine belt system that would get the newest A/C compressor with the system. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions? 9 Answers
