New filter and pump but no fuel through my injectors?

Asked by biggavins Feb 10, 2015 at 07:53 AM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Scottsdale Extended Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A buddy and I had tried to test my alternator
to see if it was getting weak it passed the
test but in putting it back on the wire that
charges the battery touched some metal
and art out. when the alternator was all the
way back installed the truck wouldn't start
due to no fuel going through the delivery
system I've replace the filter and the pump
and still no fuel comes through my
injectorsI'm not too familiar with all of the
sensors that go on the little 4.3 Vortec but
I'm told there are a few different ones that
would cause the same thing. could
someone maybe list a couple things I
should check and how I would do so that
would be awesome thanks for the time

IF you have fuel pressure but no Injector pulse, the first thing to check would be the ECM FUSE. Since you saw some sparks when working on the alternator, would make sense that you blew a fuse. The ECM fuse when blown will not allow injector pulse. Source: FreeAutoMechanic.com
