Asked by Tmain Nov 11, 2014 at 06:05 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Stepside RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced passenger side caliper and hose after lock up and only smelling it on that side.
After it happened again I lifted whole truck and it's both driver and passenger sides. Rear
are good. What's causing both sides to lock up at same time?

Oh ya, one more thing. The brake pedal ends up being hard as a rock when brakes start locking up

Came in for coffee brake and I thought I would add this. As looking at master cylinder I am seeing that it has everything there for ABS. Nothing at front wheels shows it has it like on wife's car.

Thank you for all your help. The rubber diaphragm in master cylinder cap was colapsing and not letting fluid return to holding tankReplaced 5$ part and all is good.
