!996 Chevy Silverado 5.7 starts and idles fine, will not accelerate or get over 40mph.

I've changed fuel pump, screen, fuel sending unit, plugs, wires, fuel filter, O2 sensors, throttle position sensor. I don't know what else to do and am about to give up.

It sounds to me the injectors are bad. Runs fine till you hit the gas. Try that and let me know what happens. I had a s-10 do the same thing

The fuel injection spider on top of the engine is bad or it may have jumped one notch out of time.
