There are some plugins under by the back bumper. Start by disconnecting them and cleaning with electrical cleaner. Having a test light is handy for checking. If that does not take care of the problem, then take out the tail light lens assembly and inspect the wires/plugin going into the tail light circuit board. It is possible the tail light circuit board is giving you some grief or the bulb sockets may be bad.
