Idleing rough

I have 1999 chevy silverado with 5.7. Motor runs smooth until you come to a stop.
The idle drops to barely  running and is rough. Take off and runs well. Why is it
running rough at a stop

A bad Intake Air Control (IAC) valve has this symptom. Wouldn't hurt to clean the throttle body and MAF sensor, clean/replace air filter.

    When it's idleing in any gear, it'll run fine for a minute or 2 then the RPM's will go all the way down and the motor tries to shut off but it doesn't shut off but instead idles back up to 800 RP...
