Question type: Maintenance & Repair

replaced cap and rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter, spider injectors, plugs, coil,
spark plug wires. truck runs fine when its cold. soon as it warms up its
sluggish during acceleration. if you smash the gas its a dog. but the trucks
runs. never stalled out on me or died on me. just very sluggish when you
hammer it. wondering if it could be a worn distributor? or clogged cat? i
bought new long tube headers for it and also flowmaster 50 suv series. cold
air intake.....do you think that could be the problem too? please let me know
your opinions i have alot of money into this trucks. thanks

I have a 2001 s10 first if you haven’t already go thru and check for dry rotted vaccum lines Ik changing mine made a huge difference along with cleaning the intake and if u take the quarter sphere deflector off the intake it will make your truck very responsive if this is a very high mileage engine you might just be looking at the fact that it has seen better days but then a again I’m no expert I just have experience with trucks and cars in my family
