will a bad u joint and slip yoke make my transmission miss drive and third

Truck makes wears sound when put in drive and third I found it has  bad u joints and maybe it has a bad slip yoke will that make my transmission not go in drive and third but will go in reverse second and first

No, the U joint has no bearing on how the transmission works.

Ok what if that midshaft bearing on the center of drive shaft has slipedband shaft has lots of play and wiggle room in park

You still need to fix the U joints, they are just not the cause of the shifting issues.

Sounds like u have a bad transmission it won't go into drive nor third but 2nd gear and reverse gear does it go into first gear
