Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It wont start without starting fluid and it has been that way for about a year now.
but the other day it started but immediatly shut off, so we started it again and
the same thing happened. we went to troubleshooting and figure out it will run
with constant reving, I don't know whats wrong but it might be getting too much
air because the air filter clamp is broken? Thanks for any Info.

The IAC (Idle Air Control) valve may be bad or the IAC passage may be plugged up. The IAC opens up a little bit to allow air to go past the closed throttle plate. If the IAC doesn't open or the passage is plugged up with dirt or carbon the engine won't idle. Hope that helps! Jim
