High idle issue

I have a 92 cavalier 2.2 i just recently had the head
tested for leaks and shaved. Replaced the head
gasket since it was blown in the corner. Replaced
the egr gasket. Replaced the exhaust manifold
gasket and the intake gasket as well as the water
pump and radiator and hoses. I also replaced the
throttlw position sensor and had it caliborated by a
shop. And i still have a high idle when i start up.
Once i put into gear it idles normal but seems to
want to drive its self. I dont have an rpm guage. So
that dosent help. But when i start it, it seems to idle
around 2000-2500 rpms. Thats what it sounds like
at least. Ive looked online and even have the book
for the vehicle and all it points to is the throttle
position sensor, which again i replaced, as well as
the iac. I replaced that today on lunch and when i
started it, it jumped to about 3000+ rmps and then
calmed down. But once i hit the gas it jumped right
back up and wouldent calm down. So i drove it to
the cront of my store and put the old one back in.
Im lost on what the issue could be. Any advice
would be much appreciated.

an intake leak will raise idle as that is what iat does ,lets in air, the new iat needs a drive cycle to set sometime, disconnect the battery plus cable and touch the ground momentarily to drain memory from capacitors then ecm starts clean to set itself from here
