His flying open on my 2007 m35

Asked by GuruZVY1D Oct 22, 2017 at 06:08 PM about the 2007 INFINITI M35 Sport RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After my dashboard was recalled and repaired in
june 26, 2017 I was driving on IH 10 , my hood flys
open and crashes my windshield- some how the
lock isn't keeping the hood down now I am out of a
car and medical bills?? Has any one else had this
situation.. my insurance wants to call it collision but
it should be comprehensive- plus windshield
shouldn't shatter? I got fragments in my eyes and
face which I thought windshields weren't suppose
to shatter like that ? Can any one give me some
feed back?

Hood flying open lock not securing my hood while on the freeway ? 2007 infinity m35 I had my dashboard works on June 26 2017 and never had any one else touch my car since, first time on the freeway since then. Had this hasppen to any one else ? I had glass fragments in my face and eyes, I thought the windshields where made not to shatter?

As long as they don't blame you and hike your rates I don't see any reason to complain about your insurance. Laminated glass will break with enough force. Sorry to hear about your eyes, I hope you have healed up.
