93 Riviera, sometimes starts sometimes doesn’t, with no crank or noise at all

Asked by Guru9XXC6J Sep 04, 2021 at 01:34 AM about the 1993 Buick Riviera Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1993 Buick riviera, put a new battery in and it
started fine after sitting for a while, been driving it
for a few months, over the whole time it’s been
funky with starting. If I stop it and wait any longer
than 20 minutes it won’t start again, no noise won’t
even crank-BUT if I wait maybe an hour or 2 it’ll
start again no problem. The times vary. I’ve gone
through the fuses and they’re all fine, the radio blew
out a while ago so the fuse is pulled on that, but
everything else is solid. Previous owner had a janky
“alarm” led light just wired into the high beams
fuse, pulled that out suspecting parasitic draw, no
luck now it won’t start at all, but it’ll always start
with a jump. I got a parasitic draw tester, just
wondering if anyone has any input before I dump
money into the wrong thing?
