I found a 120 volt power plug under the coolant reservoir of my 2004 Rendezvous. What is it for?

Only thing I can think of is for a block heater. They are usually only on diesels but if the car was someplace where it gets 40° below 0 and owner was not able to park inside, may have installed one. But where does it lead? And you are talking about a male plug on a cord, right? Or do you mean a receptacle to plug IN to?

This is a cord with a male plug on it. I cannot see where it leads to, but it appears to be factory installed, as the cord is still all tie-wrapped up, and the plug prongs have a weather cover on them.

Gotta be block heater. I can't imagine anything else it could be. And I did some looking around, at Buick forums and on one they do say a block heater can be ordered factory installed.
