Question type: General

I had a compustar remote installed by dealship now at times the key gets
stuck in ignition. The dealshipship says its nothing they did, it never did that
before I got the remote installed. My car is a 99 Buick Regal. Disconected the
remote and car is fine. Spent alot of money on remote cant use it now.

There is an interlock cable that runs from the shifter to the ignition switch (which is located on the lower part of the column) If somehow this got out of adjustment it will keep the key from coming out.

Thank you txbarney. Taking it in dont know if there going to charge me to look a it but going to fight that. Do they have to mess with the interlock cable to get the remote starter in?

I do not have any schematics that would show me a car with the remote start feature so I cannot answer your question.
