why does the bulb assembly burn out

When you replace the bulb you can't touch the glass with your fingers! The oils from your fingers create hot spots on the bulb and cause premature burn out. Also if water is getting into the headlight assembly it will cause the bulb to burst. Hope that helps! Jim
