Coolant completely empty

Have you been checking the level regularly? If you have, then do you see any sign of coolant in the engine compartment, on the ground? Car been running hot? Check engine light on? Check the oil, coolant could be mixing with the oil if a head is cracked.

Most likely the intake manifold. VERY common issue on the 3800 Series II.
