my 2003 lesabre will start but wont stay idle for more than 2 seconds

If a car will start and run if you give it gas....but will not idle, it is usually a vacuum leak. On your 3800 engine, there is a black plastic part located on top of the front of the intake. It will have one or more vacuum lines....one line will go toward the firewall and "T" into one line going to the cruise control (I bet your cruise does not work) the other line going toward the passanger side for the heater controls. Inspect all the lines and fitting for cracks or broken parts.
