Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had motor scanned, everything normal. Found the same complaint in Identifix thru a friend who had access to the site.[ Diagnostic test proceedures in Shopkey led to replacement of PCM.  Reprogrammed current PCM with updated files and condition was resolved.] Went to GM service with this & they sent me to a transmission shop who did a trans. scan & found the torque convertor slips in & out under light load. Does the PCM control this? They want $2100 to rebuild the tranny with only 43,000 no-abused miles on it. Who has the update & can reprogram the PCM?

End result was a tranny re-build for $1754.00 including taxes. Solonoid valves were worn into the inner case causing oil press. to leak. pulsating lock-up damaged the splines on 4th gear as well.
