2002 Buick LeSabre - Left front wheel made grinding and banging noises then ABS and Traction Off lights came on and noise went away. Lights remain on.

The left front wheel started making grinding noise with occasional bangs, then the ABS and Traction Off lights came on at which time the noises stopped. The ABS and Traction lights remain off.

is it pukkingto one side or the other? could be a brake pad came apart.if you cant lift it up at home .try and get it to abraks shop and ask them to do a safty check...

It didn't pull to either side. It just started making noise, enough so I pulled over and checked the tire for a flat. The noises stopped the instant the ABS and Traction Off lights came on. It's going in to the shop tomorrow.
