blower fan

Asked by ezmoney09 Jan 08, 2015 at 04:48 PM about the 2002 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 02 lesabre and you can hear the cabin blower fan running on the low setting.
When you move the switch to speed the fan up nothing happens. Could it be the controls
or resistor module?

yes it could, usually though if the resistor is bad the fan only works on High. I would bet on either the switch itself, or a bad fan motor. would be a good idea to check all of the connections and fuses/relays too.

I think your car has the "resistor pack" access under the carpet on the passenger side ... I was told that it's not too hard to change. Go on Ebay and they sometimes give a location when you are looking up the Blower resistor
