My water pump went out and broke my belt. That set the security light off because it was running without a belt. What you have to do is take your key walk around to the trunk unlock the trunk with your key not the fob open the trunk shut it. Then use the key to open the passenger door do not use the key fob to unlock it unlock it with the key and lock it back that resets your security system you can do the same thing if your car alarm has been activated and the car will not start. This works own basically all vehicles that has a manual trunk lock .
