2000 Buick LeSabre won't go into gear when hot.

Asked by Wardos Jun 20, 2014 at 09:48 PM about the 2000 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My LeSabre Custom stops going into
gear after it has warmed up.  If I let it
cool down I can drive it for about 30-
40 min before it again stops going
into gear again.  Codes: P0463,
P0730, P0742.  I hope it doesn't
need a complete overhaul.  Anyone
know what might be going on?

Not an expert, but the simplest answer is the cheapest. Check tranny fluid with car running,on level surface.

That was the first thing I checked. The fluids dark but not black. And it's holding its level. Thanks for the answer though.
