For a car that old I'd consider the crank sensor which reads the flywheel because it's sits between the motor and transmission. It tells the computer what when therefore the computer runs the injectors and sends spark to the coil. So, if the coil gets no command to spark then it doesn't get to the plug. It's an affordable part about $30. A socket size about 10mm is most common and ratchet wrench. Good luck

Clean the battery terminals , Feel the starter relay when you turn the ignition to see if you feel or hear a click. Check the positive connection to the starter and ground to the engine from the battery
