Try some simple maintenance things first. Check air filter and replace if necessary , replace fuel filter if have not done so in a while , add Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to gas tank.
Or is it the trany taking a dump on you? Check trany fluid.

I had a similar problem with a 91 chevy, ended up being the ignition control module
