Front 12 Volt auxiliary power socket Not Working

Asked by JBaisden Apr 01, 2019 at 03:53 PM about the 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My front 12 volt auxiliary power socket is not working. The one in the middle console works, so I know it isn't the fuse. Can I replace the socket myself? How would I do it?
Sorry if dumb question. I am recently widowed and have rarely worked on cars.
Thank you.

The two sockets are on different fuses. Fuse 6 and 7 from what I can tell fuse 6 is for the center console socket and fuse 7 is for the front. These fuses are in the interior fuse panel under the steering wheel. Also, I'm having this same issue and it isn't the fuse. Not sure where the problem is.
