Possibly a bad blower motor resistor. Was there a smell of burnt plastic before it only worked on high?

Pretty sure there was but been a while but pretty sure I smelt plastic burning

With the fan only operating on one speed (no resistance at high speed), coupled with the previous smell of burnt plastic in the cabin, I would say that the blower resistor may be the problem. The next step would be to visually inspect the resistor for burned, broken or otherwise damaged coils.

Alright I know that's by the blower but I have no idea what it looks like or anything could ya help out with that by chance?

You may want to go to an online parts store to get a look at one, then you should be able to trace the wiring (a two wire red/black plug) from the blower motor to the resistor position (this wiring is attached to the rectangular shape of the resistor). I believe there are three screws that need to be removed to extract the old resistor, however the back two are hard to get to, so remove the front screw, and loosen the back ones, as the resistor should have slots instead of holes to allow it to be slipped from them. This will take time, so be patient especially when installing the new one. Good luck!
