If you are by chance bbuying a battery from any of the major parts shops (Autozone, Advance, O'Rielly, NTB, Sears, etc.) then they will install the battery for you free of charge. Otherwise - http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/1999_Buick_Century_Custom_3.1L_V6/battery/replace_battery

A wrench or a socket and ratchet. After you loosen and remove the battery cables, you will also need to remove the battery hold down (usually with er wedge shaped block and locks the base of the battery into place or a strap). Above all else, do not cross the battery cables. Red goes to red, black to black. Hooking them up backwards can blow a fusible link or other fuses.
