Chrysler Town and Country code P0508, low or poor circuit!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 3.3L. My engine stops always
when the gas pedal is released to idle. If I push the gas a little bit down the
engine runs but as soon as I release the gas the engine stops! On the
other hand if I push the gas so that the RPM is about 3000 then the engine
speed fluctuates down and up and does not let the RPM go normally up.
What could cause these problems? I have cleaned the Idle Control Valve
and checked the Idle Position Sensor. They have no problem but I get the
code P0508 which means that the Idle Control circuit is low or poor. How
this problem can be solved?

Does anyone know?
Thanks

P0508 IAC valve sense circuit low. Fix code P0508 IAC valve sense circuit low If you encounter a problem with P0508 IAC valve sense circuit low on a Chrysler vehicle, here’s how to proceed. The Idle Air Control is a linear solenoid valve that opens based on computer commands to bypass air around the closed throttle plate that occurs at idle. The IAC has a tapered pintle with a corresponding seat in the throttle body. The PCM constantly check return voltage from the IAC to determine if its working and it compares actual RPM with commanded RPM. If the PCM doesn’t see the correct or expected return voltage, it sets a P0508 IAC valve sense circuit low trouble code //// http://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/p0508- iac-valve-sense-circuit-low/

Thanks for your answer. So to fix the problem should the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) be replaced with a new one? And if it does not fix the problem is it possible that the input voltage to the TPS is somehow missing? Is there a relay that connects the 5v current to the input of the TPS? Where such relay is located? Is it possible that the relay is kaput? BR
