Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Cruise works for a while and then will drop off on it's own or drops off when you slow down
or hit the brake. Then it will not come back on until you shut the car down completely and
start over again. I have changed out the brake switch, I checked the control pod and it
has vaccum. Any other ideas?

Hard to believe that no one else has encountered this problem before and doesn't have any clues or ideas!

I have made another discovery, if I shut the cruise off before slowing down or applying brakes then it will start back up at any time. However, if I wait until I hit the brakes or shut off on its own then it will not start up again until I shut it completely down and start up again.

I know this is 3 years old but if the speed sensors are faulty then it will not allow cruise control to work.
