Sounds like loose or dirty battery connections or low battery voltage. Check battery voltage for proper charge. All because the lights come on does not necessarily mean the battery has enough charge to crank your car. Have you tried to jump start it?

Yes i have tries jump starting with no luck. Could it possibly be the starter?

There is a simple test to see if the starter is part of the problem. Turn your headlights on. Leave them on and try to start the car. If the headlights dim or go completely off then the battery is most likely dead or there is bad connection. If the headlights don't dim then the battery is probably OK and the problem is in the ignition switch, starter relay or starter motor.

it has a dead spot in the starter where its catching. you will need to either take it in and get it rebuilt or buy a brand new one.

No problem. Its just a process of elimination. We dont want you buying a starter if you don't have to.make sure and get there nice an tight loose connections will kill the battery because it wont be charging all the time like it's suppose. Glad I could help
