car has a long crank time but starts, after stopping 10 to 15 min cranks long
and runs rough when it does start but smooths out after driving

I'd have the fuel pressure checked, replace the fuel filter first.

I had this exact same issue with an 07 suburban. Got worse over time. Ended up being the fuel pump. Low pressure, and needed to be replaced.
