2007 Mitsubishi eclipse convertible

How doing check the hydraulic fluid level for the
top? I found the pump reservoir but it's covered
with foam from Germany and zip tied, do I remove
this to check level?

You have to access the pump/reservoir to service the top mechanism. And you have to do whatever you have to to do this, no matter how many things you have to remove to access it.
