Install air in 2007 Aveo?

Asked by NoExperience Jul 08, 2022 at 01:58 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Aveo 5 LS Hatchback FWD

Question type: General

I have a 2007 aveo without air. My husband thinks it's a mistake to add air on
such an old car... things could go wrong. Is it that hard? We would have a
person who specializes in air doing it... and in Mexico where labor isn't that
expensive.

If you have the right AC kit it is not really that hard for anyone with tech knowledge. The problem I see is it is an AVEO, limited power is available for accessories so with the AC turned on it won't have much "Get out of the way" power.

An aftermarket AC is going to cost you half the value of the car... And it isn't much of a car. Best thing you can do is sell the car and get something with AC already in it. I suggest you stay within Toyota, Honda, or Mazda for reliability.
