Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My chevy aveo starts and idles fine but when I push the accelerator there is no
response. It will not rev nor does the rpm go up.  I've checked all the fuses and
all were ok.

It appears you have tac/throttle actuator control. Drive by wire throttle. Any applicable trouble codes related to that system?

I haven’t put a code reader to it but there’s no check engine light on. It has electronic throttle control on this car.

If tac has a ;problem, the pcm will enter reduced power mode. One of the modes is 'forced idle mode', all it will do is idle.

I found the issue last night. The harness for the pedal position sensor had a bad connection.
